With so much passion and innovation, PEUGEOT cycles and motorcycles have received worldwide recognition in competition and among the general public. PEUGEOT is one of the rare manufacturers to be so well represented and consistent on 2, 3, 4 wheels.

 

1886

LAUNCH OF PRODUCTION BICYCLES AND TRICYCLES

At the instigation of Armand Peugeot and after testing on the Grand Bi, series launch of PEUGEOT bicycles and tricycles with chain transmission at the Beaulieu plant.

1901

PRESENTATION OF THE FIRST PEUGEOT 1.5 HP MOTORCYCLE

After the launch in 1898 of motorized tricycles, presentation of the first 198 cc PEUGEOT 1.5 hp motorcycle.

1934

LAUNCH OF 500, 350, 175 CC MOTORCYCLES AND 100 CC MOTORBIKES

From 1901 to 1939, PEUGEOT presented 61 models from 100 to 745 cc.

In 1934, the P515 (495 cc) broke 9 international records, including 3000 km covered at an average speed of 118 km/h.

1952

VICTORY AT THE BOL D'OR AND LE MANS FOR THE P176 MOTORCYCLE

The range of PEUGEOT mopeds and motorcycles now ranges from 100 to 250 cc.

1955

LAUNCH OF THE S55 SCOOTER

PEUGEOT launches the production of the S55 and S57 scooters, which are reminiscent of their 4-wheel sister, the 203.

1974

SALES RECORD WITH THE P103 AND P104 SERIES

Record in the moped market (limited to 50 cc) where PEUGEOT had been a pioneer since 1949.

1982

LAUNCH OF THE SC AND SX SERIES

Scooter fashion is back and PEUGEOT launches the SC and SX series, the first scooters with plastic bodywork.

1983

PY10 - 1ST CARBON BIKE

The PY10FC revolutionizes the racing bike with a frame made of carbon. It will be appreciated as much by the “pros” as by the amateurs.

1984

VTT1 - FIRST BIKE MARKETED IN FRANCE

At the forefront of its customers' wishes, PEUGEOT Cycles is releasing the first mountain bike marketed in France.

1992

ASSOCIATION WITH CYCLEUROPE

Manufacturing and marketing are entrusted to Cycleurope, which then becomes the owner of the entire production tool.

2006

LAUNCH OF THE SATELIS, THE FIRST LARGE PEUGEOT 125 SCOOTER

After the success of the Elystar, the first 125 scooter fitted with ABS braking as standard, PEUGEOT presents Satelis and Geopolis, GT scooters inspired by the automobile.

2009

A2B BIKE

The Brand's first electrically assisted bicycle (VAE) integrated into a global mobility concept.

2015

MAHINDRA JOINS THE TEAM

PSA sells 51% of PEUGEOT Scooters to the Indian manufacturer, and retains 49% of the capital as well as the use of the brand image. This collaboration allows for greater internationalisation and paves the way for future products.

2016

DJANGO ADVENTURE, 60 YEARS ON!

As a nod to history, two adventurers pull off the feat of reaching Ho Chi Minh City by Django from Paris, in order to pay tribute to Serge Gracium and Michel Vaslin who in 1956 had made the opposite journey on the handlebars of the PEUGEOT S57.

2017

INNOVATIVE MOBILITY SOLUTIONS e-KICK AND eF01

In a context where access to city centers is increasingly restricted, in 2017 PEUGEOT became the first car brand to market unprecedented multimodal mobility solutions. The e-Kick electrically assisted scooter and the eF01 electrically assisted folding bike make it possible, in addition to a motor vehicle, to make urban journeys in complete freedom.
