At just 26 years old, Julien Gendrau is already one of the key players in the PEUGEOT Sport adventure in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). As a systems engineer, he has a crucial mission: to ensure that every element of the 9X8 communicates in perfect harmony. "The goal is to make the driver feel good, to have all the information available and to be able to interpret it quickly," he explains.

Julien describes his career path with modesty and passion. From karting at the age of 7 to the rallies he would watch with his family, he never considered anything other than motorsport. After a work-study program at PSA Motorsport, he joined PEUGEOT Sport and worked on various programs such as rallycross, WRC, and even Formula E before joining the WEC.

On a daily basis, he combines technological innovations with performance constraints. "Technology and performance are both allies, but also enemies. Sometimes we think that introducing technology will necessarily improve performance... but that's not always true." Julien also shares the behind-the-scenes story of a team that's as close-knit as a family: "When I couldn't attend certain sessions for medical reasons, the mechanics made me signs and showed them on the grid to send me photos. I treasure them."
