DESIGNED WITH ALLURE

A livery design inspired by the PEUGEOT identity

The collaboration initiated in 2020 on the PEUGEOT 9X8 Hypercar between the PEUGEOT Design team and PEUGEOT Sport continues to thrive this year through the 2025 livery. The dress that will outline the PEUGEOT 9X9 silhouette this year is a creation entirely designed in-house. The designers made use of all aspects of the PEUGEOT identity: the Lions pride that represents teamwork and our commitment; the PEUGEOT Sport colour identity that recalls the very origin of the project and contrast, creating a very graphic and unique line.

A PEUGEOT ART CAR FOR THE 2023 CENTENARY EDITION OF THE 24 HOURS OF LE MANS

The result of an artistic collaboration with J.Demsky!

PEUGEOT and artist J. Demsky have teamed up to create a highly original graphic design for the PEUGEOT 9X8, a sports car that expresses the very best of PEUGEOT in terms of style, efficiency, and technology. Racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) since 2022, the exclusive unveiling of this PEUGEOT 9X8 will race for the next 24 hours of Le Mans in June 2023.

PEUGEOT 9X8 HYPERCAR, DESIGNED TO RACE
The 9X8’s front and rear lighting signatures, which take the form of three claw-like strokes, are familiar PEUGEOT trademarks, while the brand’s new lion’s head logo features in backlit form at the front and on the sides of the car. The Selenium Grey and contrasting Kryptonite acid green/yellow highlights of both the body and inside the cockpit echo the colour scheme chosen for the new PEUGEOT SPORT ENGINEERED line which was introduced with the 508 and 508 SW.

POWERTRAIN

A 2.6 litre, twin-turbocharged 520 kW V6 engine delivers power to the rear wheels. Depending on the driving situation, one additional 200 kW electric motor drives the front wheels, turning the 9X8 into a four-wheel-drive.

BATTERY

The 900 V high voltage battery has been co-developed with TotalEnergies / Saft. Marelli is engineering and supplying a specific high performance electric motor and silicon carbide inverter, which make up the front axle electric drive system.
